D-fenders for large feeder fleets

For a large customer in Norway AAG has supplied durable and strong D-fenders for their feeder fleets, running in diagonal stripes to protect both fleets and ships. The fleets are 38 meters long and 20 meters wide with a hull height of 7.25 m and a draft fully loaded at 5.65 m and in the "easy" mode 4 m. The fleets are used in the North Sea where the are anchored permanently and also certified to a significant wave height of Hs 4.5 mi current of 1.5 m per second. The ships which frequently will dock are catamarans of 15 m length. Up until now they have used tires with chains, but our customer needed a more professional and modern solution. The AAG solution was 162 mtr. D-Fender 250x250mm with pre-drilled holes for mounting fulfilling the customers needs.
